This is inexpensive funeral cover especially designed for First Rand Staff while they are employees. It is important to note that cover ceases when the employee leaves First Rand or turns 65, whichever is the earlier. There are continuation options available – details on request.

Definitions of a child:
The natural, adopted or stillborn child of a member and/or member’s spouse who is under the age of 21 years (turns 21 next birthday). However a child may continue to be covered as a child up to the last day of his/her 24th year if he/she is a full time student at a recognized learning institution or for as long as he/she is suffering from a defect of mind or body that renders him/her incapable of supporting himself/herself.
Definitions of a spouse:
A nominated partner of a member in a legal marriage, customary union or a union recognized as a marriage under any religion.
The maximum number of parents that you can take out cover for is four (mother, father, mother in law, father in law).
Cover must be taken for both your mother and father (or mother in law and father in law) at the same time, and for the same cover amount.
Funeral cover for parents exists for as long as the main member is part of the scheme.
