Definitions of a child:
The natural, adopted or stillborn child of a member and/or member’s spouse who is under the age of 21 years (turns 21 next birthday). However a child may continue to be covered as a child up to the last day of his/her 24th year if he/she is a full time student at a recognized learning institution or for as long as he/she is suffering from a defect of mind or body that renders him/her incapable of supporting himself/herself.
Definitions of a spouse:
A nominated partner of a member in a legal marriage, customary union or a union recognized as a marriage under any religion, who has been advised to the administrator and is listed on the policy schedule.
